I freely admit I’ve been somewhat stumped by The Brit. This is because most of his key issues (as outlined in a reply to one of my earlier posts) aren’t directly related to the scientific aspects of global warming, but to the availability of information, and to the effectiveness of government measures. Therefore, in what follows, I will freely share my opinions, but this post will be far more opinion-based and less fact-based than my usual ramblings.

Here are the key issues from The Brit:

Honest doubt, honestly expressed

I received a response to my latest post from The Grit, expressing his feeling that he was interested, but by no means convinced. I’m extremely grateful for honest doubt, honestly expressed; there is perhaps no better test of the validity of one’s opinions than the honest skepticism of an outside observer.
